$64,000 is a very respectable annual salary. At Ohio State, it is the amount spent on bow-ties by school president E. Gordon Gee since he arrived back in Columbus in 2007.
Those aren’t the only perks Gee enjoys. According to the Dayton Daily News, the university spent $1.3 million remodeling the school-owned Pizzuti House — which the school owns and where Gee resides—and another $673,000 stocking it with artwork and other furnishings.
Gee also spent into the millions of dollars on expenses when he held similar positions at Brown University and Vanderbilt.
If Gee can negotiate these ridiculous (and reprehensible) perks, think what he can do on Urban Meyer’s behalf when meeting with football recruits.
