Sean Lowe’s football career at Kansas State was nondescript. But as far as up to 30 women with roses (and millions more watching at home) are concerned, that’s a minor issue.
The 28-year-old Lowe, who played linebacker and tight end for the Wildcats, has been tabbed as the star for the 17th installment of ABC’s “The Bachelor.” Lowe had been through a similar experience before, having been eliminated as a potential suitor just before the finale of the eighth edition of “The Bachelorette” last season.
Lowe has lived in Dallas since graduating in 2006, first working in finance and insurance before starting a custom furniture business.
This isn’t the feature college football player to be tied to the show. Ex-Colorado safety Ryan Sutter was the winner of the first “Bachelorette” in 2003, former Florida Gator QB Jesse Palmer was the bachelor in 2004 and ex-Gator QB and current New York Jet Tim Tebow was rumored to be in the running for this season’s pick.
