One former Blue Devil basketball player is intent on forging a sweeter reputation after leaving Durham.
Brian Zoubek, a defensive anchor on the team’s 2010 NCAA title-winning team, opened up Dream Puffz cream puff shop in his hometown of Haddonfield, N.J., on Monday.
After a back injury prevented Zoubek from pursuing an NBA career, he decided to pursue another lifelong love of his. “I love to make cream puffs,” he told Bill Duhart of the Haddonfield Patch in May. “I’m just a fat kid, at heart.”
Zoubek says his plan is to build up the business in Haddonfield before setting up a location in New York, where he maintains a residence.
With Zoubek standing 7-foot-1, we’re curious as to whether he sets a Guinness World Record for “world’s tallest pastry chef.” Brian Zoubek profile
