There must be a direct relationship between the quality of college football conferences and the ostentatiousness of their fans’ tattoos. How else to explain the questionable ink choices of SEC fans?
The latest “work of art” from this subsection of society comes courtesy of Southern Gameday. On Monday night they tweeted a photo of a Florida fan’s ridiculous back tattoo: A large tear in the skin revealing gator scales underneath.
Honestly, the art of it isn’t terrible. The detail on the scales and the epidermal tearing make it look incredibly life-like. The real bugaboo is well, the idea, and the shape of it. Alabama fan Zack Smartt’s $1,700 Crimson Tide tattoo is starting to look half-decent.
