Long before Florida Gulf Coast’s Andy Enfield brought the Eagles to their first NCAA tournament ever, he was already a winner for landing a model for his wife, the former Amanda Marcum.
Prior to settling down with Enfield and becoming a mother of three, the former Ms. Marcum appeared on the covers of Elle, Vogue and Maxim, as well as ads for Ellesse, Liz Claiborne, Tommy Hilfiger and Armani.
What would a beauty like her want with a hoops lifer like Enfield? It turns out that she’s a huge Oklahoma State fan after being born and raised near Oklahoma City. In fact, the first time she met Enfield was catching a ride from him from New York City to a Cowboys second-round NCAA tournament game in Boston in March of 2003.

Their first real date? To a St. John’s NIT game that spring. The two married were engaged a matter of months later.
“We had lots of things in common — especially sports — and we talked and talked about that,” she told the Naples Daily News in April 2011, shortly after Enfield was hired away from Florida State by FGCU. “I thought he was really funny and very confident. And I’m a sucker for sports guys, obviously.”
While no one is giving FGCU a chance against No. 2 seed Georgetown on Friday, it’s safe to safe Enfield knows a thing or two about pulling a huge upset.
