Kentucky’s Prince Trumps Gators In ’01

Florida vs. Kentucky has become a great rivalry in the SEC and it’s largely thanks to games like the 2001 showdown in Lexington. The Gators were No. 11 and a year removed from reaching the NCAA championship game. At the end of a tight, back-and-forth affair, Kentucky’s Tayshaun Prince crossed his defender over several times before lofting the game-winning shot for a 71-70 win. Both teams meet again Saturday at 4 PM on CBS.
