Top 50 College Dunks Of All Time

With the NBA dunk contest this weekend, we decided to share with you a YouTube clip of the 50 greatest college dunks of all time that debuted last fall. This took YouTube user Mixst311 two years of research to put together, so enjoy it. And be careful, it gets extra hoppy. What dunk could possibly be number one? Take it away Bill.

Please those are definitely not the top 50 of all time. Some yeah, but not one Michael Jordan and only one Vince Carter…..seriously. Those two together have had several dunks in college that would easily land ahead of most of those dunks in your list.

The dunk MJ did against Maryland…the one in honorable mention…the around the world cradle and jam…how can you not have it in the top 50…there are so many by Vince and MJ that should be here…Vince was the best dunker I have ever seen…top dunk of all time…when he jumped over 7 foot dude in Olympics and slammed it…The dunk he did in dunk contest..threw his legs…around the world swing and then slammed it with one hand…omg….the one where he jumps so high he went to his elbow in the basket…omg…please…just because someone broke the back board in the days when back boards broke does not qualify as a all time dunk…

that was a pretty accurate listing.

Its top 50 college dunks all time, not top 50 dunks of guys who made it to the NBA or dunks by guys you know. I forgot about some, like the Chris Porter dunk, the Warrick dunk off the punk-fake, the Deron Washington dunk.

And yes, backboard breaking, in ANY era, deserves an all-time label. People who’ve never dunked before dont understand how hard it is to break a backboard. Breaking backboards cannot be minimized, unless the height of your leaping ability and “dunking” experience is forcefully slapping the backboard…Lets see, slapping backboard – BREAKING backboard…Not even in the same ballpark! saying “just because {insert athlete] broke a backboard” is asinine, ignorant, and kind of disrepectful to the game…Just my personal opinion.

And no college dunk list would be complete without a Phi Slamma Jamma reference.

This was more of an all-time college “Teabag” dunk list, cuz there were alot of balls flying at peoples heads, and Im not talking about the orange pleather Wilson. Fantastic list, even if some of my favs weren’t in there.

Big shout out to Julius Page outta Pitt. I was a junior/senior there when he was doin his thing and he was a good ballplayer but an even better person.

The “charge” call has gone the way of the dinosaur.
