The viral internet fame of being the “Alabama Teab*****” came at a steep price for Tide fan Brian Downing.
On Tuesday, Downing plead guilty to two counts of obscenity for sexually taunting an unconscious LSU fan in a New Orleans restaurant following last January’s BCS title game. The deal Downing reached with prosecutors calls for him to be sentenced to two years in jail.
Downing was videotaped by the restaurant’s security cameras using his exposed genitals to perform a simulated sex act on the unconscious man shortly after the end of the Jan. 9 game.
Downing’s cousin, the sheriff of Russell (AL) County, had Downing turn himself shortly after a wanted poster with screenshots from the video was posted.
