College-aged fans of ESPN’s “College GameDay” got an early lump of coal for Christmas. That’s because fetching reporter Samantha Steele is now engaged. And the lucky groom-to-be is former Florida State QB Christian Ponder.
Steele and Ponder started dating earlier this year after meeting on the “GameDay” set. Ponder confirmed in October via Twitter that they were an item, only to have fans speculate a few weeks later that the relationship was adversely affecting his play for the Minnesota Vikings (which Ponder flatly denied).
We’re happy for Steele and Ponder. But we’re a little jealous that the star QB from the sun-drenched school got the pretty girl again.
