Kansas head coach Charlie Weis has been involved in a spat with the student newspaper and on Saturday, ESPN “College GameDay” host Chris Fowler piled on to the mercurial Jayhawks head man.
Fowler started Saturday’s broadcast from South Bend prior to the game between No. 17 Stanford and No. 7 Notre Dame by saying, “It is great to be back at Notre Dame for the first time in seven years…. We were frankly, ‘uninvited’ for awhile, but that coach is gone.”
That coach, obviously, is Weis, who was fired by Notre Dame after the 2009 season and is currently in charge of a 1-4 Kansas team that is struggling on the field and with public relations.
