Erin Andrews Officially Leaving ESPN

In a move that has set the internet on fire, America’s most famous sideline reporter Erin Andrews is officially leaving ESPN.

ESPN publicist Mike Humes confirmed the news on Twitter by tweeting on Friday, “Erin Andrews leaving ESPN. She did great work for us & we made aggressive offer to keep her. Wish her best on her next chapter.”

Andrews has been with the network since 2004 but her contract expires on Sunday. She is now headed out the door like Michelle Beadle, who left The Worldwide Leader last month.

SI.com’s Richard Deitsch is reporting that FOX Sports is trying to lure Andrews for their college football coverage, which will be headlined by Gus Johnson and is part of a new $3 billion contract with the Pac-12.

Our own Jim Weber explained why the move to FOX made sense for Andrews several weeks ago.
