Much of the excitement for Duke basketball’s 2013–2014 season is centered around uber-recruit Jabari Parker (and rightfully so). But recently, Semi Ojeleye provided an impressive reminder that he too is a Blue Devil to watch.
On the standing vertical test administered upon his arrival, Ojelye — an Ottawa (KS) High School product and Rivals’ 31st-best player in the Class of 2013 — managed to jump high enough that the top of his hand came close to the top of the backboard. “Freakish jumping ability” might be too mild a descriptor for this physical feat.
For any Duke haters or skeptics in general who think this is farce, the video below from one of his games last season suggest that Ojeleye might, in fact, be David Thompson 2.0.
