Duke Frosh G: Lil Wayne Cussed Me Out

Duke basketball players are used to being hated by the rest of the country.

But freshman guard Rasheed Sulaimon must have been surprised when rapper Lil Wayne allegedly cussed him out during Tuesday night’s game against Kentucky in the Georgia Dome. The rapper and self-proclaimed North Carolina Tar Heels fan had courtside seats opposite the Duke bench and was allegedly giving the Blue Devils a piece of his mind during Duke’s 75-68 victory over UK. Never mind that Lil Wayne is from New Orleans and has no connection to the team from Chapel Hill.

Tweeted Sulaimon early Wednesday morning:

We take it Duke players didn’t ask for autographs after the game.

Pretty pointless story in general, but I will say that the Tar Heels have a committed national following in basketball (11 Final Fours in 29 years will do that) and the fact that the largely ridiculous and obscenely overrated  Lil Wayne is supposedly a fan of theirs even while hailing from New Orleans isn’t even remotely fascinating, sorry.

THERE IS A POINT; & THAT IS THAT EVEN THOUGH LIL WAYNE IS FROM NEW ORLEANS AS YOU SAY, & EVEN THOUGH DUKE WAS PLAYING KENTUCKY, THE POINT IS THAT IT DOESN’T MATTER WHO PLAYS dook; WE ( CAROLINA FANS) ROOT FOR ANYONE ELSE, & WILL TELL ALL dook PLAYERS THAT WE; CAROLINA FANS ARE IN THE HOUSE & WE CAN’T STAND dook, PERIOD!!! ALSO  TO LIL WAYNE: PLEASE LET IT BE KNOWN LOUD & CLEAR TO THE YOUNGIN’S THAT FOLLOW YOU, TO NOT GET IT TWISTED & COME TO THE UNC TAR HEEL PROGRAM, THEY’LL BE BETTER FOR IT; THEY’LL GET TO THE NBA, & WIN A COLLEGE CHAMPIONSHIP RING!!!!!!!

      what happened to Wayne’s face?

A largely stupid contribution Robb (sorry, the CAPS DON’T HELP), but I’m sure you did your best. You strike me as the type who, like many, probably runs his mouth morning, noon and night, but I’d advise you to temper such behavior when in public settings such as basketball games. That midget Lil Wayne has a squadron of bodyguards to save him from getting beat to a pulp for saying the wrong thing and saying it too often at a UNC game, but you on the other hand would likely be in a world of hurt under similar circumstances, obviously. Live and learn, fool, live and learn. As for you, Mike, those are called tattoos and he’s called an idiot.
