Division II Emporia (KS) State’s football team has struggled to a 14–29 record over the past five seasons. But that’s no reason why Hornet players and coaches can’t enjoy themselves during fall camp.
A video posted to ESU Athletics’ YouTube channel features head coach Garin Higgins pretending to lambast his players before making them do up-downs, only to ambush them halfway through (along with his coaching staff) with a barrage of water balloons. Mayhem ensues.
“The tough thing about it is that when they knew what was going on, they were coming for one guy,” Higgins said after the melee. “And they were coming for me.”
Live by the water balloon, die by the water balloon.
