Consider Iowa State’s Jake Knott among those unimpressed with West Virginia star QB Geno Smith.
The Cyclones senior linebacker, whose season ended in October as the result of a left shoulder injury, accused Smith of being less than courteous to Iowa State defensive coordinator Wally Burnham at halftime of their Friday game in Ames.
Forgot to say: G. Smith trying to push over Coach W Burnham at half was the most classless thing I’ve seen. Esp. from a “leader” #GrowUp

As of 1:30 PM ET on Monday, Knott’s tweet has been retweeted 239 times since he posted it on Saturday. It’s the second time this season that Smith has raised eyebrows at a Big 12 road game as he flashed the “Horns Down” sign at Texas in October.
Being confined to the sideline clearly didn’t do anything to disrupt Knott’s penchant for going after opposing offenses.
