Former South Florida coach Jim Leavitt has practically disappeared from the face of the earth after he was fired by the school a year ago. But now that Leavitt has settled his wrongful termination lawsuit against USF for $2.75 million, we could hear from him again soon.
Rumors are swirling that he could join Bill Snyder’s staff at Kansas State or Jim Harbaugh’s staff in San Francisco. Leavitt, who recently told the Tampa Tribune he’s moved on from his days at South Florida, hasn’t said who has talked to him or what his immediate plans are. But don’t be shocked if he’s a college head coach again in 2-3 years.
