Look no further for proof that Colorado’s 0–3 start to 2012 had weighed heavily on coach Jon Embree than the power of his chest bumps when the Buffaloes finally got off the schneid.
The Buffaloes trailed hosts Washington State 28–14 entering the fourth quarter on Saturday before outscoring the Cougars, 21–6, in the final period. The game-winning score, a four-yard run by QB Jordan Webb, came with nine seconds remaining.
And when Webb and the rest of the offense returned to the sidelines, Embree greeted them each with either a rib-rattling chest bump or bear hug.
We did notice, however, that the go-ahead PAT had yet to be attempted when Embree was dosing out his love. Lucky for him the kick was good, otherwise he could have looked quite foolish.
