On paper, the “Battle of I-75” matchup between MAC rivals Toledo and Bowling Green is not the most enticing college football game on the docket this weekend. Yet it’s already proved to be inspiring for a different reason.
Fans of either team can psyche up for Saturday’s Rockets-Falcons matchup by visiting a massive, richly-detailed series of corn mazes at the Wheeler Farms Butterfly House in Whitehouse, OH, roughly equidistant from each school’s campus.
“I think everybody has some type of connection to the local universities — son, daughter, mom, dad, friends,” said Wheeler Farms co-owner Duke Wheeler on what inspired the design. “We all benefit from the quality of education here.”
We’re big fans of how a rocket and falcon design were included in each school’s portion of the mazes. The whole tableau reminds us of an old-timey football program, too. Well done, Wheeler Farms.
