Even before he took the court for his first game with Ole Miss, Marshall Henderson wasn’t shy about running his mouth.
Prior to the Rebels’ Tuesday night home game against Kentucky, Drew Franklin of Kentucky Sports Radio unearthed a clip of the mercurial scorer when he signed with Ole Miss in April.
“I’m just glad I can play Kentucky next year and be like, ‘Y’all think y’all were the national champions, I’ll show you the real national champ,’ ” Henderson joked, referring to the junior college national title he won with South Plains (TX) College last spring around the same time the Wildcats won their title.
Unless you’re a Kentucky fan, how can you not love the mischievousness with which Henderson makes this proclamation?
