We picture most school presidents as curmudgeons like Dean Wormer from Animal House or Dean Pritchard from Old School that prefer schmoozing in the press box to actually paying attention to college football games.
Except, that is, for Clemson president James Barker.
After Clemson went ahead of Furman 27-7 in the third quarter on Saturday, the Clemson mascot did his traditional 27 pushups to celebrate with one notable difference to the routine. Once the mascot was finished, he removed his head and revealed himself to be the school’s 65-year-old president to the shock and admiration of fans in attendance.
Needless to say, it was a huge hit among Clemson fans.

No word on whether Barker will try to suit up and play for the Tigers when they visit Tallahassee on Saturday to take on No. 4 Florida State.
