Where Are They Now? 2000 National Champion Oklahoma Sooners

In our newest series, “Class Reunion,” we take a look back at some memorable teams of the past and find out where the starters are today. First up, the 2000 Oklahoma Sooners. This team won the national title ten years ago in the 2001 Orange Bowl over Florida State. With a rematch against the Seminoles this weekend, we celebrate the tenth anniversary of this Sooners team and look at where the starters are today.

Editor’s note: This lineup is based on the preseason depth chart cross-referenced with statistics from the season. The offense is based on a basic three receiver shotgun formation. The defense is a base 4-3.

  1. Tyrone says:

So basically, besides Roy Williams, none of them are doing s***. And please tell me why FSU lost to them again????

  2. Dave says:

WOW four years of college to run a landscaping business… roffing company….and these schools get away with it, when some kid who would love to go to school gets left out.

    • Anonymous says:

Looks like you should have went!!! Roffing is spelled roofing genius!

  3. Tony Howard says:

T.J. Thatcher was at reunion for team. Last Saturday, though I don’t recall what he is doing post school.

  4. Justin says:

J.T. Thatcher works for a car dealership in Norman, OK.

FSU lost to them because OU was better! In case you didn’t watch the game, there wasn’t a single area FSU performed better than OU. Made your Heisman Trophy winning QB look like he was a 3rd string walk-on.

  5. Woody says:

So, according to Tyrone, if you aren’t in the NFL, you aren’t doing s**t.

Sounds like they are hard working guys just like the rest of us. I respect that.

but, this is from someone who isn’t in the the NFL

  6. AK says:

Considering the average length of pro football career is 3 1/2 years, any of them being in the pros is pretty amazing.

  7. randy o says:

somebody has to build america… it not only takes a strong back, but it takes a strong mind as well… landscaping is a big time money maker… you might try is dave, wha has your lazy *** done as of late?

  8. Jason says:

Trust me, if Rocky Calmus has a landscaping business it’s not a “him and two illegals he pays in cash and mangos” kind of operation. He came from a family that does well financially. I’m not saying he never gets dirty, but I imagine it’s possible to run a pretty lucrative landscaping business in the Brentwood, TN area alone.

  9. Dennis says:

Dave your dumb a**, I’ll wager everyone them is doing better than you. My guess is you played some high school ball and didn’t get an offer so your just a little bitter. Good luck with that putting food on the table……….

  10. Dennis says:

Dave, I’ll wager everyone of them is doing better than you. My guess is you played some high school ball and didn’t get an offer from any school so your just a little bit bitter. To bad, I don’t see that putting food on the table.
