Ripped UGA Cheerleader Turns Heads

SEC cheerleaders are stereotyped as Southern belles known for their elegance and gentleness.

And then there’s Georgia’s Anna Watson, the Mike Mamula of cheerleading.

She is the most ripped female college cheerleader you will ever see; She bench presses 155 pounds, squats 255 and can dead lift 230. Profiled in the student newspaper, Red and Black, Watson sounds like a “workout warrior” when she describes at one point working out an hour-and-a-half, six days a week and taking down 3,000 calories a day.

She claims she was close to a $75,000 fitness modeling contract but turned it down because the agent wanted her to use Anavar, a legal steroid to gain more muscle.

Keep an eye on Watson, a junior, next fall on the Georgia sideline.

We wouldn’t want to be the opposing player that accidentally runs into her between the hedges.

Wow she’s hot, and I’m sure her numbers are a f- up just like the anavar not being illegal thing she’s got to be far stronger than listed steroids or not.

  • Weqweqwlkj

I know women just can’t lift as much as men, but the numbers seem way off for the body type she has.  She can only squat 255?  that seems way too low, I think most guys that don’t work out can squat 255

  • edmond

    Id still hit that…

  • Torib200

    Dude she is ripped yo

  • 1jackwatcher1

I am old enough to remember the days when women were told not to do full push ups because they could “hurt their female parts” whatever that meant. I think it’s great that women are working out and claiming their rights.

  • Kens40

Sorry, but it looks more like a photoshop job of a female head on a male body.

    what she says …
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2095121/
    what others say …
    http://www.muscleweek.com/anna-watson-on-steroids
also, some web sites report that she has admitted to taking “anavar” (aka Oxandrolone).
it’s basically a steroid that is used to regain weight lost after surgery, illness, trauma, etc. however, other websites report that she’s been OFFERED “anavar” but declined to take it; thus, not sure whom to believe.

is it possible to look like this w/ JUST training? for a female, it’s VERY DIFFICULT – & w/ the training she says she does (1.5 hrs a day, 6 days a week) it’s just not enough. Not to mention, the hormones (estrogen) in a female body does NOT allow for women to develop like this. Women can get “cut” or “ripped” by losing body fat & adding SOME muscle, but they CANNOT bulk up the way men do – UNLESS there is some sort of chemical imbalance (either genetically, or induced medicinally). Additional facts: the AVERAGE woman can only gain 1lb. of pure muscle per month. Also, when you 1st start an intense workout, you can see gains of nearly twice that for the 1st year; every year after that, the gains will drop off by 50%. All of this can be looked up & verified, or you can just ask your doctor the next time you go in for a checkup.

i won’t rush to judge, but i’ll just leave this here …

    I’m eating 3,000 calories now… nom nom

  • Jercarp

I don’t find this type of thing very attractive especially on women. I love the beautiful human form and a good athletic form is really great, but with body building and huge muscle buildup the body really gets out of proportion to what is aesthetically beautiful. When you get up into the ranks of professional BB it’s off the charts and because of the performance drugs the people really lose their looks, it’s a freak show. They pay later in life. The girl in the picture hasn’t quite reached that tipping point and in fact may look quite good when she’s not flexing herself. I’d like to think she doesn’t use. The steroid discussion here is interesting….everybody’s an expert. This is not to take away from the huge amount of dedicated work that people put into working out and the fact is, it hurts no one, and if it is drug free, it in fact helps others to get healthy. Just my own opinion.

  • blah

Welcome to the show….The “gun” show…. hahaha

  • Cannabliss

I was in Athens for 2 years, I never saw her but my wife did. Not that this means anything but hey Athens isa fun town!

  • http://www.facebook.com/darren.hankins Darren Hankins

    she rocks

  • Pork n Cheese

I’ve gotta think those lift numbers are not right though… I know women that are far less muscular and not any bigger who lift way more than that. Especially on the bench. I know 140lb girls who squated over 200 on their first day in crossfit.

  • Kay :)

wtf, i bench 140 and my arms aren’t half as big as hers.

  • TorgIshere

I prefer a more feminin build… *walks away shaking head*

  • WarpZone

Man, good for her. And three cheers for the person who put her on the cheerleader squad instead of forcing her to settle for Poms or something. She worked hard for that body, she deserves to turn heads.

Which way to the gun show, Anna? :D

  • carpe.diem

Although I believe it is within the realm of possibility to look the way she does naturally. She claims to have packed on 4 inches of muscle on her arms in 10 months naturally? Oh pa-lease!! Not possible! Even the most gifted of natural bodybuilders can not do that. She was clearly on Anavar. It does not have the masculinizing side effects like a deepened voice, facial hair, development or acne. Anavar makes you retain your femininity albeit with a much more pronounced musculature. She definitely was on Anavar. She should just fess up to it. And personally, I think she looks amazing!!

  • http://www.facebook.com/bridie.davies Bridie Davies

I don’t know (or care) what (or if) she’s using anything but I think she looks awful.
    Just saying!

  • D Castillo

GO SISTER!! I’m a 53yo female Vegan that has just as much lean muscle that can bench 185lbs 3x!!

He better get his prostrate checked

  • Rachetwench

I’d have to agree with BigMonster – this chick is au naturel, and steroids would have her much more edgy and ripped. Steroids are usually the last resort when genetics fail, and check with any sports medicine expert: GENETICS are what makes her body capable of what she’s accomplished, the steroids would only serve to increase the muscle strength/mass/size required for body building. I SO wish they had posted a companion picture of this young woman NOT flexing her pretty arms so you could see how she looks in real life (Lol!) All you haters just hop the heck off!!!

  • hellhound55

first of all, if she was using roids she would be alot more vascular and alot bigger….she looks like any other female who works out alot and stays lean. She is toned like any fitness model or trainer would look like with daily workouts. Stop being a hater just because a woman decides she wants to get ripped. Not everybody is using roids just because they look muscular.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Ashley-Malagant/797736391 Ashley Malagant

Sorry, gymnasts don’t look like that and they’re actual athletes. Either she’s on steroids, or she’s a dude. Take your pick.

  • bigb

    WOW

  • SCOTT S.

Man I want a women like that. Imagine how many loads of laundry she can carry downstairs at one time!

  • Thomas

Its possible she just has the genetics but yes drug enhancements do play a huge role in both male and female athletes. I hope she is natural then good for her but those who use steroids and other drugs to enhance their muscle mass it has a detrimental effect on their health but it is their decision to make> I think she looks good myself, id like to wrestle around with her that would be fun..lol

When I paid my visit here I didn’t realize that this story was a year old. It’s May 11, 2013 as I write this. It is FAR too easy to get lost in the Internet maze and waste time foolishly. Ha!

‘Me’, you offer no ‘profile picture’, and even if you did there would be no guarantee of its genuineness or of the truthfulness inherent in any claims you make in your reply to BigMonster.

I’m not accusing you of being dishonest, but the fact remains that no reader here can render their own assessment of your facial features. You may be convinced that you exhibit no male traits in your physical appearance, but to others — especially those to whom bodybuilding is entirely foreign who might view you with the naivete and honesty of a child — the reality might be very different.

The aesthetics of bodybuilding are very personal in nature. My general view has changed over the years, but one constant has remained: I do not find women with such muscularity to be the least bit attractive. As you surely know, Bev Francis shocked the bodybuilding community in the ’80s, and for good reason — she looked like a freak. Even the judges were so traditionally biased that she couldn’t win a contest. I can’t furnish precise figures, but the overwhelming majority of BOTH genders regard a woman with a masculinized physique to be unappealing. I appreciate a fit lady, and there are certainly varying degrees of physical development, natural or ‘enhanced’, but a woman who desires the hypertrophy which is natural for a man is not my type. A clitoris the size of a dill pickle is a deal-killer. ; ] One of my favorite quotes applies perfectly here: “Fit audience find, though few.”

I’m not qualified to absolutely refute your assertions, and that isn’t my objective, but I will say that there exists the possibility that you’re wrong. This girl is attractive, but she isn’t a ‘beauty queen’. It may be that the mild facial aberrations from the feminine norm which you cite and credit to anabolic use may just be hereditary traits. I’ve seen some ‘handsome’ women who were not using steroids. I don’t see a pronounced Adam’s apple on Anna, just a strong jaw, which may be her perfectly ‘natural’ state. There’s no ‘caveman’ brow ridge. While not intimately familiar with them, I have a general understanding of the androgynous facial characteristics you mention. The “A-ha!” moment is not unlike recognizing the symptoms of acromegaly, or dwarfism, or Down’s syndrome for that matter — you ‘just know’. My inexpert eye doesn’t see something convincing in that respect. If I saw only her face with no body shot, I’d have to be told that she was thought to be a user for my suspicion to be raised. Considering that she inarguably trains diligently, the same suggestion of genetic propensity could be offered as the basis for her atypical musculature. I’ve known some ‘big-boned’ girls who could probably have a body like this with disciplined, drug-free training.

I’m sorry to seem combative. I did like your reply to BigMonster, yet I also appreciated what he had to say on the matter. This comment thread is a rather interesting read, even with the typically moronic statements woven in. Peace!

  • THETRUTH

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOW ARE SOME OF YOU THROWING STEROIDS OUT BECAUSE YOU’RE MAD BECAUSE SHE BENCH PRESSES MORE THEN YOU AS A MAN. IM SURE SHE WORKED HER A55 OF TO GET TO WHERE SHES AT CONGRATULATION

What position does she play on UGA football team? She looks like a real threat. Go TIGERS!!!!!!!

  • bk

Steroids aren’t just for guys anymore

  • Bishop Coxcomb

Holy crap… don’t beat me up in a roid rage.

  • misfits319

Pretty sure she openly admitted to using a prohormone version of Anavar.

  • Chuck

Hey Tony, get a clue man! Obviously you no nothing about anabolic/androgenic enhancement drugs. If you did, you’d clearly know by this photo that this girl is not on steroids. She has amazing genetics, combined with an ectomorph-mesomorph bulid. Go back to to your couch with your bag of potato chips!

  • Chris

I don’t think she is on steroids. I was married to a female fitness champ and she squatted with more than that, bench press was not far off. Every man should have opportunity to make love to a female in competitive condition; others just do not compare.
