After his first batch of uniform redesigns went viral in late January, Jake Nevill — operating under the Redditor handle of Boognasty — is back with a second edition. And it’s one that includes new helmets as well.
Twelve teams are fortunate enough to receive Nevill’s deft touch: Florida State, Washington, Cincinnati, Ball State, Oklahoma, Texas, San Diego State, Oregon State, East Carolina, Tennessee, Florida A&M and Alabama. While all of the redesigns offered are applause-worthy, two in particular stand out.
For Alabama, he added an oh-so subtle houndstooth pattern to both the jerseys and the helmet. But the Crimson Tide are first runners-up to another blue-blood. Oklahoma’s Red River Rivalry threads and helmet are a beautiful mix of old and new — especially the helmet.
