After being denied access to the early rounds, it seemed unlikely Butler’s live mascot, Blue II, would ever see his favorite team live in the 2011 NCAA tournament.
But now that Butler has reached the Final Four again, the NCAA has given Blue II permission to roam the sidelines where he belongs. The NCAA told Butler that Blue II couldn’t attend the early rounds because of space constraints and a need for a quick turnaround between games.
But with the Final Four to be held at Reliant Stadium and nearly an hour between games, Blue II will be in attendance and we can imagine there will be several “You’re my boy Blue II!” signs as well.
