Scores of Alabama fans dream of cradling the AFCA National Championship Trophy and its iconic crystal ball.
Noah McClung of Crossville, TN, is one such fan, so he decided to make his very own trophy.
No, McClung did not have a rich supply of Waterford Crystal he was looking to get rid of. Rather, he built a replica of the famous crystal football using over 2,000 translucent clear LEGO pieces after the Crimson Tide won the national title last year.
McClung seems to have a talent for this sort of thing. His Flickr photostream is entirely populated by large-scale LEGO creations. He’ll even be showing off his BCS trophy rendering at the BrickFair LEGO Convention in Birmingham from Jan. 17–20.
Expect plenty of Tide backers to be in attendance.
