Matt Ryan was a great kid. First of all, he was just a fierce competitor, and you could tell every day that he was. And he hated losing like I did.
He was a humble guy and a great leader, and although he was just a redshirt freshman when I was playing there, he had a lot to learn about football. But he had something special about him and I could tell.
Paul Peterson took the job as quarterbacks coach at Southern Utah to be close to his family and to have a coaching position. Now, he sees college football from the FCS level.
Two seasons ago they had lost eighteen games in a row, and we’re coming off a 4-7 season.
