Oklahoma Legend Ken Pryor, 85, Dies
Oklahoma’s Ken Pryor, an early NCAA Tournament hero, died on Tuesday at the age of 85. Made in a later era, his shot to beat Texas in the national semifinals (pictured) would be played in tournament highlight packages in perpetuity. All it did in 1947 was advance the Sooners to the championship, where they fell to Bob Cousy’s Holy Cross team. Ken Pryor profile

FSU’s Greg Carr Signs With Winnipeg Blue Bombers After Year Away From Game
Florida State’s Greg Carr, the go-to receiver for the Seminoles in 2007 and ’08, has landed north of the border after signing with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Carr finished his career fifth on the school’s all-time receiving yards and receptions list (148 for 2,574) and caught the second-most touchdown passes in school history (29). BC’s Sean Williams To Continue Career In Israel Following Exit From The NBA
The Sean Williams experiment in the NBA ended in January for the former BC Eagle (anyone that can’t beat Stromile Swift for a job should look outside of the country). Wrote ProBasketballTalk.com, “At this stage in his career, Williams just isn’t worth the trouble.” So the 2007 first round pick of the Nets will head to Israel and play with Hapoel Jerusalem. Braswell was credited for providing the spark that kicked the Breakers into a six-game winning streak and a near playoff berth. Michigan’s single-season rushing record holder is a business man now, involved with the Bojangles food chain in Augusta, GA. UK’s Andre Woodson Highlights Trio Released By UFL’s Hartford Colonials
The UFL’s Hartford Colonials released Ohio State’s Tim Anderson, Florida State’s Buster Davis and Kentucky’s Andre Woodson. It’s hard to believe Woodson was once a player who Mel Kiper Jr. once ranked the sixth-best senior at any position in 2007. The NFL wasn’t impressed and Woodson plummeted to the sixth round of the 2008 NFL Draft. Meanwhile, Davis – just 26 – retired from football completely.

UNC’s Ronald Curry Residing Outside Charlotte, Fails To Show Up For UFL Camp
North Carolina’s Ronald Curry was a super recruit in the same high school district as Michael Vick. In fact Vick once said, “I felt pressure to compete against Ronald Curry.” While Curry started at quarterback for the Tar Heels, he never met the high expectations. Curry was recently drafted by the UFL’s Omaha Nighthawks (who else?) but he never showed up to camp. He currently resides outside Charlotte, NC. Ronald Curry profile
