I think Ron Guenther did what he thought was in the best interest of the team. I don’t see that as bad — as long as Zook turns the program around. Then, it’s a smart move. If he doesn’t, obviously everyone is going to look at it as a crazy move.

I think they have a lot of the same qualities. Obviously, Simeon just had the mentality that no one can stop him. He’s one of those guys that sort of talked about himself in the third person. It turned some people off, but he’s just a confident individual.

Dana Howard: Inside My ‘94 Ohio State Guarantee
Illinois was 2-2, and Ohio State was 4-1 entering the 1994 matchup in Columbus. Fighting Illini linebacker Dana Howard guaranteed a victory prior to the game, and he certainly backed it up. Howard helped Illinois to a 24-10 win with an interception, two sacks and 14 tackles.
