The permanence of tattoos always makes them something that the person getting inked needs to be absolutely certain about. Otherwise it could make for something awkward down the road should the message of that ink not be carried through.
LB Reuben Foster, the No. 6 overall recruit in the Class of 2013, learned this the hard way. The Auburn (AL) High School product got the Tigers’ interlocking “AU” logo tattooed on his right forearm upon switching his commitment from Alabama to Auburn in July. But now, less than five months later, Foster decommitted from the Tiger on Friday.
The prized recruit is now considering Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Washington and Miami. He’s also likely on the hunt for a talented tattoo artist that’s able to expunge the “AU” and replace it with the logo of where he ends up going.
