Auburn Gymnast Strikes Heisman Pose

We don’t cover women’s gymnastics at Lost Lettermen but we had to make an exception for Auburn gymnast Rachel Inniss.

While performing in the Tuscaloosa NCAA Regional last weekend, Inniss channeled her inner Cam Newton by including the Heisman pose into her floor routine. Naturally, it was meet with a chorus of boos by the Alabama fans in attendance but Inniss got the last laugh: She scored a 9.9 from the judges and finished second on the exercise.

    So i don’t get it. The Still photo shows she’s wearing another uniform? Did she do this another time? I would have thought coaches at a University had more class and responsibility than to allow this kind of taunt. Stupid girl…

    I’m a SC fan here, and I think that the pose was awesome! I noticed that she pointed at the Alabama fans at the end of the dance too. I LOVE this rivalry, almost as much as the Carolina – Clemson rivalry! Sports analysts are now putting it up there with the Michigan – Ohio State rivalry. I appreciate both schools. Alabama may have won the gymnastics title, but as the routine shows, NOT EVEN THE GYMNASTS CARE AS MUCH ABOUT THAT TITLE AS THEY CARE ABOUT THE FOOTBALL TITLE! Awesome, totally awesome.

    this was stupid. her whole show was boring. whats with the do a little trick, wait five seconnds, run to the other corner and do a trick, wait five seconds. she should stop trying to do some funky new junk that looks like hell and stick to stuff that looks good.

    Rachel did the heisman at every meet it was not directed to Alabama. It was just a shout out to the Auburn Football on a successful season. Alabama just took it to heart. Rachel is an excellent gymnast I have followed her since she was in club gymnastics. Her execution is flawless and the detail of her moves is what you need to take away from this. If you new anything about gymnastics you would see that, that was a pretty perfect routine. Auburn didnt make it nationals but Rachel finished in the top 10 in the nation (before nationals). That is a great accomplisment. She took second at this meet.

    At Frank its called a routine not a show. It really doesnt matter what your opinion is as long as the judges like it…and they did she got a 9.9 out of a 10.0. Take your negativity somewhere else and maybe to a place where you actually know the terms…idiot!

    Ed:It is hypocritical for you to comment on the class of another individual when you go online calling someone you don’t even know a ‘stupid girl’ before you even had your facts straight, I think that serves as a testament to your true class (or lack thereof). Also, this was not a taunt – this was a college girl showing school spirit, nothing more. It’s people like you who comment on these sights that make me livid because one of this girl’s family members could have read your misguided comment and gotten hurt by it. THINK BEFORE YOU POST NEXT TIME PLEASE. Thank you.

    The picture and the video are the same girl she just changed her hair. the pose was done at every meet including Iowa, BYU, Southern Utah, Georgia, FLorida, Alabama, all home meets.
