Wisconsin Runs Disastrous Trick Play

Leading Minnesota, 20-7, early in the fourth quarter on Saturday, Wisconsin thought it could catch the Gophers off guard with a funky formation on 4th-and-2.

Badgers punter Brett Nethery lined up behind the long-snapper, whereas the entirety of the rest of the offensive line was lined out to the left. Upon receiving the snap, Nethery threw the ball out in that direction to TE Sam Arneson, thinking Minnesota wouldn’t know what was happening.

Alas, Arneson was tackled for a seven-yard loss and Wisconsin turned it over on downs.

We take it that’s the last we will ever see of this play.
