Wisconsin Hoops Meets Barack Obama

One day after a presidential debate performance that was widely panned, President Barack Obama got back to his comfort zone on Thursday: Basketball.

More specifically, Obama met with the Wisconsin men’s basketball team while touring through Madison after several tweets by junior forward Zach Bohannon challenging the Commander-in-chief to a pickup game. Apparently, freshman guard and Chicago native George Marshall helped seal the deal, according to SID Patrick Herb.

While President Obama didn’t take to the court this time like in 2008 when he practiced with the North Carolina basketball squad, Obama did take the time to meet with the team in private. And apparently a pickup game is in the works for next time:

Bohannon was also quick to point out that the meeting could result in a little luck for both of them.

Unfortunately, no pictures were allowed (the picture on the left is from right before the meeting). But clearly the memories for the Wisconsin basketball team will last a lifetime.
