Wade’s Son Wows as Basketball Prospect

With a second straight NBA title in the books, Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade can now partially devote his time this offseason to nurturing a budding talent in his own household: His 11-year-old son, Zaire, who’s considered one of the top fifth-grade players in the country.

It’s hard not to be impressed with the skills Zaire Wade displayed at the recently completed John Lucas Future of the Game Camp in Las Vegas. He can already hit shots from the outside and his passing ability is something you don’t start seeing in most players until they’re in high school. Plus, he has the always-appreciated advantage of being a lefty.

If your Marquette (Wade’s alma mater) or Indiana’s Tom Crean (Wade’s college coach), aren’t you obligated to offer this kid a scholarship right now?
