‘Hog Lady’ Song Supports RB Lattimore
Arkansas fan Liz McDaniel has proven to be a multifaceted performer since becoming a viral video celebrity with her YouTube karaoke songs. Both with her song choices — ranging from country and folk to R&B/soul — and with who she dedicates them to.
Her latest video, a rendition of Mariah Carey’s “Hero” posted to her YouTube channel on Saturday, is the first song she’s sung since becoming famous that is about another team other than her beloved Razorbacks. It’s dedicated to South Carolina’s Marcus Lattimore, who suffered a gruesome leg injury on Saturday vs. Tennessee.
“Although today was rough for Razorback Nation, Marcus’ injury made it seem pale in comparison,” McDaniel wrote in the video description. “Marcus and South Carolina Gamecocks, I feel safe in saying the whole country is feeling you and praying for Marcus to have a full recovery.”
What we wouldn’t give to see McDaniel perform a musical recap of the 2012 SEC season at the end of November.
