Doh! Meyer Says ‘Michigan,’ Apologizes

At his Monday press conference, Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer broke his own “don’t say Michigan” rule when recalling how he became invested in the rivalry and hatred of the Wolverines at an early age.

“I grew up in the Ten-Year War,” Meyer told reporters. “I learned to dislike Michigan at a very young age, but you never truly appreciate (the rivalry) until you’re behind the walls here and see how serious it really is.”

When told by the next questioner that he had slipped up and said Michigan, Meyer looked shocked. “I did?” Meyer responded. “Wow. I apologize.”

Don’t be shocked if he dropped down for 10 pushups - per his rule - in front of the entire Buckeyes team to see at the team’s next practice.
