Ten Other Bret Bielema CFB Rule Proposals

By Jim Weber

If you’ve read this website before, you know I’m not a fan of Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema.

He’s always been a world-class whiner who stomps his feet until he gets his way. The laundry list of Bielema’s complaints over the years is exhausting but his year-long campaign to hinder no-huddle offenses that are destroying his “two yards and a pile of dust,” defensive-minded teams is the most obnoxious yet - especially because he’s doing it under the guise of “player safety” when in fact it’s completely self-serving.

With last’s week politicking alongside Alabama’s Nick Saban in front of the rules committee to implement a ridiculous 10-second period before the ball can be snapped so defenses can substitute players, I look at other potential Bielema rule proposals “for the betterment of the game” that are really just for the betterment of himself after going 0-8 in the SEC last season.

Sorry coach, but when you whine this much, still awaiting your first win in the SEC is just karma.
