Stoops Anonymously Helps Moore, OK?
Oklahoma State men’s basketball coach Travis Ford apparently wasn’t the state’s only major sports coach to lend a hand in the city of Moore’s recovery from a devastating tornado last Monday.
Sooners head football coach Bob Stoops — who told ESPN last week that he and his family “saw the tornado through the back window of their home” — appears to have recently stopped by the Moore cleanup site to help out. And had a fellow cleanup volunteer not had a camera handy and spotted what looks like Stoops, it would have gone completely undocumented.
The OU athletic department posted photos of Stoops visiting with displaced families last Tuesday, yet this recently published photo has the feel of something the Sooners head coach decided to do spur of the moment. Were it not for his crimson-colored visor, we wouldn’t have even recognized him.
