Saban Selling Vacation Home for $11M
When Nick Saban takes a break from football, he does it in style.
On June 6th, the Alabama head coach’s vacation home on the shores of Lake Burton in Clayton, GA, will be auctioned off (don’t worry, Saban has a second home on the lake where he will spend his time). Current listing price: a whopping $10.9 million.
It’s a price that seems pretty reasonable when you look at photos of the palatial estate. The 9,600-square foot behemoth features six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a 24-foot vaulted ceiling in the grand room, a billiard room, wine cellar and office rooms for staff and “formal and professional kitchens.”
“My family and I own another home on the lake, which we have enjoyed for 12 years, so I was excited when this very special lot came available to develop with Jim [Suddes],” Saban told the Atlanta Business Chronicle. “Lake Burton is our favorite getaway. It’s a beautiful, hidden gem, where we find great peace and seclusion.”
Why can’t Saban sound that enthusiastic when taking questions from reporters?
