Miss America Contestant Talks Musburger

As it turns out, Katherine Webb wasn’t the only beauty pageant contestant affected by Brent Musburger’s on-air ogling during the BCS title game.

During Saturday’s Miss America 2013 pageant, the representative from South Carolina, Ali Rogers, was asked whether she thought Musburger’s comments improperly objectified women.

“As a football fan and as someone who would like to be featured not so much on a stage but at a football game, I think he has every right to point out her beauty,” Rogers responded. “She is, in fact, gorgeous. And I think this is something we can display not only on the Miss America stage but at a football game, too.”

Well spoken, Miss South Carolina. This response no doubt went a long way toward your runner-up finish.
