Sooners WR Charged With Lewd Crimes
Oklahoma WR Trey Metoyer went from being a preseason Biletnikoff Award candidate to apparently being finished with the Sooners program after he wound up on local police blotters in downright bizarre fashion.
On Tuesday, Metoyer was charged with two felony counts of indecent exposure according to documents filed at the Cleveland County (OK) Courthouse. The first count took place on August 29th, when the victim noticed Metoyer driving through a parking lot with his genitals exposed and performing a lewd act.
Less than a month later, on September 17th, another female victim was allegedly approached by Metoyer and asked if she had a pen he could borrow. Upon returning from her apartment with the pen, she witnessed Metoyer performing another lewd act. According to the report, “The black male then asked the victim if she would want the pen back.”
“Trey has not been with us since prior to the TCU game and at this time I do not anticipate that he will return to the team in the future,” OU head coach Bob Stoops said in a statement on Tuesday night.
The Sooners were hoping to glimpse flashes of greatness from Metoyer in his sophomore season this year, but this is far from what they had in mind.
