OSU’s Hyde Breaks Down at Presser
Ohio State RB Carlos Hyde did not take the career-high 168 yards and three touchdowns he ran for in the Buckeyes’ 40-30 win over Northwestern on Saturday night for granted.
Toward the end of his postgame press conference, Hyde broke down in tears when struck by how grateful he was to be there after missing the first three games of 2013 due to suspension.
“That suspension, it really hurt,” he told reporters. “Not being out there with my brothers, because I made a mistake. That suspension was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to go through.”
Now that he’s endured that, he’s overjoyed to be back. And Ohio State is overjoyed to have him back.
