Oregon Opens Social Media “Quack Cave”
If you’re Oregon, why tweet when you can quack?
The Ducks’ athletic department unveiled the latest item in their embarrassment of riches on Wednesday: the Quack Cave.
GoDucks.com is billing it as “the first digital media hub in college athletics,” crediting social media command centers used by the New Jersey Devils as well as Dell and Gatorade as inspirations.
The Cave (@QuackCave) is a tech lover’s dream: a wall of flat screen TVs controlled by iPads and wireless keyboards. From the room a select group of UO students will monitor and produce content across all of the athletic department’s major social media platforms.
We hope that includes the awesome @Chipisms account containing Chip Kelly one-liners.
