Open Casting Call for Burlsworth Biopic
An open casting call is out for a biopic about one of the most famous football players in Arkansas history, Brandon Burlsworth.
The 1998 All-American offensive tackle — who was tragically killed in a car accident 11 days after the Colts selected him in the third round of the 1999 NFL Draft — is the subject of “Greater,” which is scheduled to begin filming in Fayetteville on April 29. But before then, the film’s producers need to find themselves some actors.
Burlsworth isn’t the only former Hog for which an actor is needed. The casting call put out by Morgan Casting also seeks to fill the roles of OL Grant Garrett, DL Nathan Cole, WR Anthony Lucas, QB Clint Stoernor and OL Russell Brown. Alas, the part of then- head coach Houston Nutt has already been filled.
Aspiring actors can attend casting sessions in Fayetteville (March 15–17), central Mississippi (March 23) and New Orleans (March 24). Brandon Burlsworth profile
