Oregon, Boise Combat Unis Are Here!
The Nike Pro Combat uniforms for Oregon and Boise State have been unveiled by the Swoosh and the results are, well, mind blowing.
Take a look below for the outfits the Ducks and Broncos will wear for their respective season openers on Sept. 3.
Oregon’s will rock an all-black stealth look that features neon green on the numbers and emblem, plus has Kevlar stitching in the collar (yes, that’s the same material used in bullet proof vests). We have to admit, Nike gets an A+ on the Ducks’ Darth Vader outfits.
As for Boise State, we’re not as enthused. It’s pretty similar to last year’s Pro Combat uniform but with an all-white look instead. As Andy Staples of SI.com, the look has the Broncos looking like Storm Troopers. Of course, the Swoosh has thrown in gloves for Boise that form a Bronco when the hands are brought together. Nike has certainly done worse, but we give the Broncos’ new look a B, especially for a lack of originality.
Of course, this college football offseason has been full of two things: Scandals and new uniforms.
Nike has done its part by changing the unis at the likes of Arizona State, Oklahoma State, Kentucky, plus the hideous Pro Combat uniforms for Georgia’s season opener on Sept. 3. And then there are the abominable Maryland Terrapins’ new uniforms by Under Armour that features a turtle-shell look on the helmet.
