Obama Pans Irish’s Neon Green Uniforms
While filling out his annual NCAA tournament bracket for ESPN on Wednesday, President Barack Obama had Notre Dame losing its second game due in part to his “disagreement” with the Irish’s new neon green jerseys.
“That’s one reason why they shouldn’t go any further,” the POTUS explained to Andy Katz. “That neon glow thing wasn’t working for me.”
Never one to let anyone — even the Commander in Chief — bash his program, Notre Dame coach Mike Brey responded in very humorous fashion.
I see @barackobama weighed in on uniforms. Sending him one for his next pickup game. Guarantee he’ll dribble better right-handed. Go Irish!

True to Brey’s word, Notre Dame athletics made a No. 44 “Obama” uniform and has already sent it to the White House.
Clearly Brey has seen at least one of Obama’s pickup games and noticed that the southpaw president almost always goes left. Kudos to the Irish coach for going toe-to-toe via Twitter with the leader of the free world.
