Huskers Court Rushing Raises Eyebrows
For those college basketball fans who have gotten annoyed by the flurry of court stormings this season, Nebraska fans’ decision to rush the floor after a 53–51 win over an unranked Minnesota team might have been the straw that broke the camel’s back.
We acknowledge two factors that contributed to Huskers fans over-celebrating: 1) Big Ten wins are rare (Nebraska is now 5–12 in conference play); and 2) It was the last basketball game ever at the Devaney Center (the Huskers’ hoops teams are moving to the Pinnacle Bank Arena next season).
Still ... storming the court after beating a team below .500 in Big Ten play? That’s a bit desperate, if we say so ourselves. The Twittersphere seems to be with us in this regard.

Seriously, Nebraska? Rush the court after you beat Minnesota? There needs to be a rule put in about this new trend.

At least the Cornhuskers didn’t cut down the nets.
