Mizzou Thanks UGA Fans in Newspaper
Mizzou fans didn’t use a 41–20 loss to Georgia in the Tigers’ SEC debut as an excuse to abandon their Midwestern manners.
Bulldogs equipment manager Trent Pearson tweeted out an ad that the “Fans and Residents of Tiger Town USA” placed in in the Athens (GA) Banner-Herald, thanking UGA fans for being “friendly, gracious and fun” on their visit to Faurot Field for last Saturday’s game.
Maybe this was Tigers fans’ way of issuing a mea culpa on behalf of DT Sheldon Richardson’s unwarranted criticism of Georgia football leading up to the game. Whatever it was, it was certainly classier than how some of their SEC counterparts at Arkansas carried themselves last Saturday in Little Rock.
