UK’s Lorenzen Shines In Arena League
Former Kentucky quarterback Jared Lorenzen was always a big guy. You may remember him nicknamed as the “Pillsbury Throwboy” and “Hefty Lefty.”
Now, even that moniker might not do his size justice. Check out the picture below of Lorenzen with the Northern Kentucky River Monsters of the Ultimate Indoor Football League.
Undrafted in 2004, Lorenzen played from 2004-08 with the New York Giants and Indianapolis Colts. He won a Super Bowl ring with the Giants after the 2007 season.
Lorenzen told the Cincinnati Enquirer that he’s enjoying his time in the start-up league. The River Monsters are currently 10-2 and list Lorenzen at 290 pounds. Yeah, that might be a little conservative.
