UNC’s Williams Heads To Jerusalem
Former North Carolina Tar Heel Jawad Williams will be taking his talents to Israel’s holy land. Hapoel Jerusalem signed the forward and journey man who will continue his nomadic career abroad. Williams was released by the Cleveland Cavaliers on December 27 after a brief stint and had been playing for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the D-League before this move.
A member of Carolina’s 2005 national championship team, Williams is familiar with Israel, as he played for Hapoel Galil Elyon in 2008. We hope he likes hummus. Jawad Williams profile
