LeBron Gets Own Oregon Yellow Helmet

How well-received were the flashy new uniforms and yellow liquid medal helmets that Oregon unveiled for its 2012 opener against Arkansas State? Turns out that they’re fit for a King.

NBA Finals MVP LeBron James posted a collage to his Instagram account (also posted to his Twitter feed) of a care package he received from the folks at Nike: His very own Ducks helmet and custom Ducks gloves, with which he showed off the Oregon “O.”

James, who signed an extension with The Swoosh in 2010, was an all-state wide receiver during his sophomore year at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron and was entertaining notions of joining the Cleveland Browns during the 2011 NBA lockout.

Think Chip Kelly will use this photo when hosting recruits in Eugene? You can bet on it.
